Makoto Hitsujiya, also known by the Japanese title *Bagu Ego* is a really charming new student who shows up at his high school. He wants to help his classmate Takehiro Kokudo, who does not have friends. Things change a lot when Kokudo shows him a notebook. This notebook has some tips that are not just good advice they are actually ways to cheat the system of the world. These tips or "bugs" let them do things that're not possible like changing the physical world and bending the rules of how people interact with each other. They can do these things by doing specific actions in a certain way. At first they just try out these tips for fun. Soon Makoto Hitsujiya gets really addicted to the thrill of finding loopholes in the world.

Makoto Hitsujiya and Takehiro Kokudo have to deal with some strange and scary things. They have to be very careful when they try out these tips because if they make a mistake something bad can happen. Takehiro Kokudo is worried that they will get too used to using these tips. Then they meet their classmate Yuki Hashira. She is very smart and loves science. She is also very reckless. This causes some problems because Makoto Hitsujiya and Takehiro Kokudo think they should be more careful. They have to deal with problems from outside and inside because they are playing with the rules of nature. Makoto Hitsujiya and his friends really want to learn about all the hidden mistakes in the world. They want to be able to do things and find real friendship in a world that is not perfect. Makoto Hitsujiya and his friends, including Takehiro Kokudo and Yuki Hashira are on a mission to master the impossible and find human connection, in a world that is fundamentally broken.
